i was really confused last night, i really dont know what to do. so i sought an advice from my former adviser when i was a freshmen. he was and is still humble as ever. although, he quit being a teacher and became a call center agent in manila, i still consider him as one of the mentors who built a stepping stone to where i am now.
so here's the message he sent me:
Hi din wendyl...Im doing okay although its really hard to work away from home im okay... I know time flies so fast..I could still remember how small and innocent you were when i first all handled you but no you are all grown ups , magcocollege na kayo and im really proud of all of you.Now, with regard to the advise you're seeking , to tell you honestly there is no specific advise i can give to you. All i can say is you need to follow what you want to pursue. Do not pressure yourself about how,what,and when you are going to land a job. That is going to be along way pa Wendyl. Just put it this way when I enrolled myself to BSed (teaching) my mother scolded me because according to her I will not land a job right away after grad. However, I was hired by WMSU right after grad (May 2006 ata yun). And another thing, I used to think that my classmates in highschool who took nursing as their course in college will not get a job right away too because of the stiff competition there is in the country but now from what i know they are all employed either there in Zamboanga,Manila or abroad. My whole point of sharing this is that its not the course that will help you land a job. Its YOU! Ganito lang yan wendyl, ang trabaho hinahanap hindi yan darating ng kusa sayo. Remember I used to tell you...You are the captain of your own ship(life). :D So i hope that help a bit...Thank you so much Wends for making me feel remembered , this made me feel so good... Enjoy life wends, youre still young.. Sometimes its better to face things when you are there already...Again, follow your heart and of course always do your best! Good luck!
i finally made my decision, if i'll be in WMSU .. i'll take up MassCom but if i'll be in ADZU, i'll continue to pursue I.T :)
